This mandala represents yin and yang, dark and light, and contrary forces. Fire can turn ice into steam and yet water is capable of extinguishing flames. It reminds me of warring states who see things from inverse points of view and believe the death of their foes will solve their problems. I’ve always felt that breaking bread is a much better way to solve a conflict. I’ll throw some ice into a pot, bring it to a boil under a fire, and prepare something delicious. Won’t you join me?
